On May 5th, the Canadian Red Cross and Pickering Fire Services signed a Memorandum of Agreement during a ceremony at the Pickering Fire Services Headquarters. With the agreement, the Canadian Red Cross Personal Disaster Assistance program in Durham Region, supported by trained volunteers, will respond when the Pickering Fire Services determine that victims need help with basic needs such as temporary accommodation, clothing and food.
